HOW TO INSTALL THE ROM

1. Download the Rom Zip
2. Place the zip In Sdcard
3. Go to Cwm Recovery
4. Wipe Data & Cache
5. Wipe Cache
6. Select Mounts and Storage>format system>yes
7. Select Advance>wipe dalvik cache>yes>
8.select DOWNLOADED zip from external sd card
9.Select Advance>fix permission>yes>(OPTIONAL)
10. Reboot the phone

OFFICIAL firmware jellybean 4.1.2 for lava iris 455

LAVA Iris 455 Official Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware IRIS 455 is a nice phone and it was
launched by LAVA around 5-6 months back It has 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen display with
960×540p resolution, 1GHz Dual core processor with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean...


I am providing the official Jellybean 4.1.1 firmware of this phone to help the people who want to make
custom ROM for this mobile. Also if somebody having problem with phone, he
can flash the phone himself with the help of SP
Flash Tool v3.1248.0.96 .
You will also require Media Tek Driver .
DOWNLOADS:

media tek driver :



Process:
Switch off Mobile, Remove Battery and after few seconds again insert battery.
Do not POWER ON mobile and also do not connect USB cable at this time.
Install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers in your PC.
Open SP Flash Tool, then click Scatter-loading button to load the scatter file.
It will load Firmware files. Click on Firmware Upgrade Button.
It will check all files and may give a Checksum Failed warning.
Just Ignore this warning, Click on OK if warning is there and connect mobile with USB
cable.
It will start updating your mobile.
Complete Process will take around 5 minutes.

ROOTING AND INSTALLING CWM IN LAVA IRIS 455

IRIS 455 is a nice phone and it was recently launched by LAVA.
It has 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen display with 960×540p resolution, 1GHz Dual core processor with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

I. Before You Begin:

 

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. You should have MediaTek drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them from here.

3. This should work only on Windows based PCs.

II. Downloading Required Files:

 

1. CWM Recovery (Download link’s given in the first post)

2. Scatter File (Download link’s given in the first post)

3. SP Flash Tool (Download link’s given at the bottom of the first post)

4. Superuser (Download link’s given at the bottom of the first post)

5. SU (Download link’s given at the bottom of the first post)

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the LAVA Iris 455:

 

1. Download and place all the files onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the SP Flash Tool archive over to your Desktop.

3. Rename the CWM Recovery Image to recovery.img.

4. Double-click on the SP Flash Tool executable file and it’ll open.

5. Click on Scatter-loading and choose the Scatter file you downloaded earlier to your Desktop.

6. Checkmark the RECOVERY box only among all other boxes.

7. Hit the Download button.

8. You’ll see a warning message on your screen saying that not all images are correctly loaded. Simply ignore it and hit Yes.

9. Turn OFF your device.

10. Pull the battery out of your device and put it back in after 4-5 seconds.

11. Without turning ON your device, plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

12. It’ll begin flashing the CWM Recovery on your device and should be done within a couple of minutes.

13. Once the flashing’s done, reboot your device.

14. And you’re done!

Great! You’ve successfully flashed the CWM Recovery on your LAVA Iris 455, let’s root that beast now!

IV. Rooting the LAVA Iris 455:

 

1. Ensure that your device is connected to your PC and is turned ON.

2. Copy the Superuser as well as SU archives over to your SD card.

3. Once both the archives have been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

4. Turn OFF your device.

5. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Power buttons together.

6. You should now be in the CWM Recovery mode.

7. Once there, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.

8. Choose the Superuser zip to be flashed on your device.

9. And it’ll begin flashing the zip on your device.

10. Once it’s been flashed, flash the SU zip as well using same steps mentioned above.

11. Once both the ZIPs have been flashed, reboot your device.

12. And you’re all done!

Excellent! Your device’s been successfully rooted and is equipped with a custom recovery to help you flash third-part ROMs and Mods!
